Bezpečnosť a ochrana zdravia pri práci je úlohou manažmentu
Do you want to keep your employees safe and enable your organization to identify and avoid risks caused by accidents and illnesses? An ISO 45001:2018 management system is a great start.
In 2018, ISO 45001 will replace BS OHSAS 18001, the standard that defined requirements and best practices for occupational health and safety management systems for over 20 years.
ISO 45001 builds on its predecessor but incorporates corporate health management elements from DIN SPEC 91020 as well. The new standard follows the common high-level structure for ISO management system standards, making it relatively easy to integrate into existing systems. Common issues include leadership, commitment and the context of the organization. The specific requirements focus on legal issues and address criteria such as work safety policies, hazard assessments, and risk management.
Lower accident and sickness rates
Fewer sick days and lower costs
Increased safety awareness among your staff
Higher employee satisfaction and motivation
Increased legal certainty
Sharper competitive edge from a better corporate image
The audit - what happens
One option is to have your management system fully certified to ISO 45001. If you pass the audit, its conformity will be documented in an internationally respected certificate. Initial certification is followed by annual surveillance audits and recertification after three years.
Another option is to request audits for separate aspects such as employee engagement, health promotion or hazard identification. The results are documented in a report. In both cases, we will show you the strengths of your system as well as opportunities for improvement.
In 2013, following a long waiting period, ISO decided to establish a separate standard for occupational health and safety management systems to replace BS OHSAS 18001 after a transitional period. ISO has been working on drafts for the new ISO 45001 standard ever since. On March 12, 2018, it published ISO 45001:2018-03 "Occupational health and safety management systems - Requirements with guidance for use".
